T1W2 reflection

Kia ora the start of the term has been busy as my class did some poetry and some collage with pictures. Here is some to catch you up.

Acrostic poem

This week my class had to do some acrostic poems this one I did is the word beach the hardest letter to find a word for was E because there wasn't much word starting with E that relate to the beach.

This rugby one is another acrostic poem that I did relating with rugby because my favorite sport is rugby.                                     

Picture Collage

Also the start of this term I did a picture collage in this you have to have some pictures then put them together. You have to put them so they cover all the white and then your picture collage is done.

This week M1 literacy we had to describe our teacher who is miss Riessman. Her is my description hope you enjoy. we only had 2 days to finish it. After we finished that we read a book called the big game and we had to do a summary on it.

Welcome back

Welcome to term 2. Hope you have had a good holiday and are enjoying being back at school. In literacy we are learning to read for information. (: This week we have been writing down notes of what we know about plastic here are my notes. 

T1W5 Reflection literacy

Literacy: For literacy this week we got to choose our own topic to write about. I chose the great London fire because I thought it would be a cool topic. First we had to take notes and next week we are going to write about it. Here are my notes so far.

Great fire of London

1. September 2nd 1666
2. king's bakery
3. king Charles the 2nd
4. biggest fire in 1666
5. 13000 houses destroyed

1. Amazingly only 6 people died
2. 150 hectares of land was burnt (1.5 million square meters
3. The smoke can be seen 54 miles away

This week for my literacy we have been doing mummies summary and I thought that it was fun and a bit hard because I did not know about mummies. This is my one we did it in a group I found it fun because we got to choose or buddies.

For literacy we had to do a house hold machine and I decided
to do a pedal bin which is a bin with a lid that you push the pedal down and the lid opens I found this easy but not that easy.
